Looking at the products designed and sold by small independent creators like myself, it seems that books are a popular theme for enamel pins. After creating my own nerdy cat pin (can't resist a cat in cute, Harry Potter style glasses), I've been on a search for other lovely nerdy pins. Here are a few of my favourite from wonderful businesses that deserve your support.
Andrew of Rather Keen is a massive reader himself, and has been designing book covers for over a decade. So it seemed natural for him to expand into literature themed goodies. Drawn to the style of the 1930s and 40s, his pins are sophisticated retro designs.
The Clever Clove has a whole host of wonderful literature inspired pins, but I think my favourite would have to be this 'A reader lives a thousand lives' one.
Another online store dedicated to the book lover, Fable and Black has a large range of bookish enamel pins. I really love this simple black and gold 'Drink coffee and read books' one.
I couldn't end this post without featuring one of the many wonderful Harry Potter pins I've come across. She also has a number of other Harry Potter and geeky enamel pins.
