I've always had a thing for anything with stars or moons. When I was a web designer, my portfolio was designed around a star field with a branding based around moons and stars. I may have left that style behind when I created A Rose Cast, but I'm still heavily drawn to anything astronomy-inspired, being the science geek and science-fi fan that I am.
So I thought I'd share a few of my favourite astronomy-inspired pieces of jewellery with you all. You can find more on my Astronomy // Stars, Moons and All Other Space Oddities board over on Pinterest.
This rose gold constellation and moon phase enamel pin by OH NO Rachio! was one of the first pins I bought and it still has pride of place holding together the poncho I bought while I was in Kyoto a year ago. I also love the fact it's much bigger than most enamel pins.
My obsession with all things inspired by astronomy has come together to create this little piece. Astronomy Lover Zahrah has several star and moon tattoos on her skin, and she's surrounded by a mustard-yellow star field. You can also get this illustration as an art print.
What is a more perfect combination than stars and cats?! I adore both this necklace from Punky Pins and its matching enamel pin.
Isn't this gold Orca whale enamel pin with stars and constellations incredibly sweet?
This gold necklace of Bai Hu - the 'White Tiger' (one of the Four Symbols of the night sky constellations in Chinese mythology), with a lone shining star, is a beautiful piece of jewellery, and just one of a whole selection of astronomy and science inspired gifts for nerdy girl on offer from Eclectic Eccentricity.
