Wish List // 6 Creations by Independent Makers Who Celebrate Feminism and Gender Equality

There is little in the political sphere that I care more about than feminism, and it’s heartening to see so many makers create items that celebrate the fight for equality. Here I’ve rounded up a few of my favourite items, made by small creative businesses, to support the feminist cause.

Feminism is Cool Iron-on Embroidered Patch by Midge Blitz

1. Feminism is Cool Iron-on Embroidered Patch

With the tagline "Wearables for feminists, badass babes, + witchy weirdos", all of Midge Blitz creations focus on feminism and equality issues. This patch would be the perfect addition to a bag or jacket.

Feminist with a To-Do List Enamel Lapel Pin by Word for Word Factory

2. Feminist with a To-Do List Enamel Lapel Pin

A great lapel pin for any women out there fighting the good fight. I love the simplicity of this square gold and black pin.

Birth Control Pills Enamel Pin by Gabriella Sanchez

3. Birth Control Pills Enamel Pin

What better way to celebrate female liberation than with a lapel pin of one of the things that helped us gain so much of our freedom?

Feminist Killjoy Vinyl Sticker Sheet by Fairy Cakes

4. Feminist Killjoy Vinyl Sticker Sheet

I adore these vibrant and playful Feminist Killjoy stickers, with some great sayings and tag lines.

Support Your Babes Enamel Pin by Strange Women Society

5. Support Your Babes Enamel

Women should not be competing with, but instead supporting each other. $1 from every purchase from Strange Women Society goes directly to a woman-centric aid organisation.

Smash The Patriarchy Floral Hand Embroidery Hoop Art by Moonrise Whims

6. Smash The Patriarchy Floral Hand Embroidery Hoop Art

So pretty, and oh so powerful. Rather than rejecting supposed girly things, this gorgeous piece of embroidery brings it together with the message of equality.
